NewArcade, benchmarks and weekly reports

See yourself get better.

Follow any exercise with a colour-coded neck and a click, anywhere, with no setup. Add a mic and Fretmetric scores every note and turns the results into tomorrow's plan.

  • Audio never leaves your device
  • Tracking works with any mic
  • No card needed
  • On time
  • Early or late
  • Missed

Try it now

Play a note. Watch it get measured.

Turn on your mic and pick any string. Fretmetric names the note, its tuning to the cent, and how cleanly it started, right here in the browser. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.

  • Runs entirely on your device
  • Works with a laptop mic, a phone or an audio interface

Clean BPM

One number you can trust.

Clean BPM is the fastest tempo at which you play an exercise accurately and in time. It only goes up when you earn it.

  • At least 92% of the notes, right
  • Average timing error under 12% of the note spacing
  • Played on an input Fretmetric trusts
  • The ladder climbs only after two clean sets in a row

How it works

From first note to forecast.

Ten minutes to set up. After that, open the app and press Start.

  1. 01

    Calibrate

Two minutes: your input's delay, your room's noise floor, and a tune-up. This is what makes timing scores trustworthy.

  2. 02

    Benchmark

An 8–10 minute battery measures timing, speed, accuracy, finger independence, fretboard, bends and ear.

  3. 03

    Practise the plan

Each day's session is built from your numbers: warm-up, interleaved focus work, spaced reviews and one game.

What's inside

A practice room that keeps score.

73 measured exercises, from chromatic warm-ups to sequences, legato, bends and vibrato. All generated from rules, never by an AI.

A plan built from yesterday's numbers

The engine weighs your goal, your measured gaps and how sure it is about each skill, then explains every pick.

Honest measurement

Weekly reports, in plain English

What moved, what didn't, and what next week leans toward. Every number comes from your data, never from a guess.

Alternate picking, one note: up 12, from 96 to 108 BPM.

On average your notes landed 8 ms behind the click. Lead each note with the picking hand.

Goals with forecasts

Name a song or an exercise and a target tempo. After eight sessions, a fitted curve says whether you're on track.

On track

140 BPM projected in 5 to 7 weeks, inside your due date.

A coach that knows your numbers

Ask why you're stuck or whether you're rushing. Answers use your own measurements, and it never guesses about pain.

Am I rushing?

This week your notes landed 8 ms behind the click on average. You're dragging slightly, not rushing.

For teachers

Studio links your students' accounts, with their consent. Assign exercises, see minutes, practice quality and Clean BPM, and spend lesson time where it counts.

FAQ

Questions players ask.

What is Clean BPM?

The fastest tempo at which you played an exercise with at least 92% of notes right and timing within 12% of the note spacing, on an input Fretmetric trusts. It only goes up when you earn it, so it's a number you can believe.

Does my audio get uploaded?

No. Pitch and timing are analysed in your browser, on your device. Only small summaries (tempo, accuracy, timing error) are saved to your account. Recordings for then-vs-now comparisons are opt-in and stay in this browser.

What do I need?

Just a guitar. Without a mic you follow along: every exercise shows the fingers and strokes with a click to play to, and nothing is scored. To track your playing, any microphone works: a laptop mic is fine in a quiet room, and a USB audio interface gives the most precise timing. Wired headphones help; Bluetooth adds delay, so timed scoring is switched off on Bluetooth unless you override it.

How does it know my timing is right?

A two-minute calibration measures your setup's delay against a click, and the noise floor of your room. Every result carries a confidence level. Low-confidence sets are shown but never count against you, in trends or in rankings.

What does the plan actually do?

It reads your measured skills, your goal and how many minutes you have, then builds a session: warm-up, focus work interleaved in short blocks, spaced reviews of what you've mastered, and one arcade game. Every item says why it was picked. Tempos climb only after two clean sets in a row.

Is there AI in it?

Code computes every number and builds every plan. AI can write the weekly summary and answer questions, but only using numbers it is given, and a validator rejects any number that isn't in your data. Everything works fully without AI.

I teach guitar. Can I see my students' practice?

Yes, with Studio. Students join with a code and consent to share summaries: minutes, practice quality, Clean BPM on assigned exercises. You assign work and see who practised between lessons.

Can I cancel?

Yes, in one click from Settings, with no retention maze. Annual plans get a reminder email 7 days before renewal. There are no lifetime deals and no paid streak repairs.
